Suzan Erens left André Rieu and the Johannn Strauss Orchestra in 2008. Unforgettable was her performance as Empress Sisi. She married Mitch Mulders, a Dutch guitar player, and together they moved in 2009 to the northern part of Norway, where they live and perform. On March 24, 2012 baby son Viggo Mulders was born. On March 28, 2015 second son Jesse was born.

Suzan published this beautiful photo on her Facebook Page, in August 2012.A happy family! Dutch dog Bobbie is with them in Norway (the dog passed away in 2014).

The family moved to Storen in Norway, and in June 2021 Mitch’s parents also emigrated to Norwayto live with their son, daughter in law and the grand children.

In 2024 Suzan was in Holland to join the Jubilee Cabaret celebration of her former school “Sophianum”.She performed at the Theater of the Vrijthof and was interviewed by Rob Mennen for L1 radio, program ”Blaaskracht”.She said that her favorite music styles are musicals and jazz.

Artist Bio

From the time I was a small girl I collected the tiniest of shells by the ocean. It seemed utterly amazing to me that a shell could be fully formed and yet be so tiny. My father gave me a wooden sardine box with a sliding lid to keep them in. These were the times that I began to observe nature. I started painting with my Mother by the ocean as a young girl, always in watercolor. After studying at the University of Connecticut and Lorenzo de Medici in Florence Italy, I was lucky enough to get a great job designing packaging for toys.
In addition to my B.F.A. and being a professional package designer for many years, I have taken over six years of advanced education at the Rhode Island School of Design. That surely has allowed me to recognize that painting in watercolor and surface design for textiles is exactly what I love to do. I have been a juried artist since 2013. Over the past ten years I have put forth many fabric collections and paintings. The subject matter is botanical with city scenes and portraiture, animals and birds.
It is my intention
