DENNIS E. BROOKS obtained his undergraduate and his Master’s Degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University, one of the country’s leading Construction Management programs. Dennis is a licensed general contractor and member of CAI, CACM and the Western Regional Master Builders Association.
Dennis established Design Build Associates in 1983 and has developed it into a leading construction management firm in Southern California. With offices in Westlake Village and Tustin, DBA provides construction management services to clients from San Diego to Santa Barbara. Over the past 38 years DBA has helped hundreds of homeowner associations improve the properties of tens of thousands of homeowners.
Dennis has published several articles in CAI publications on such topics as “Board Perseverance & Professional Help Win the Day”, “Why Hire a Construction Manager”, “The Conundrum of Deferred Maintenance”, and “The Building Envelope a System To Be Maintained”. Singer, guitarist and voiceover artist Denny Brooks began playing music with acclaimed singer/songwriter John Denver in 1964. Denny was a background singer and guitarist for Denver from 1976 to 1986. Moreover, Brooks was a frequent opening act for singer/songwriter Hoyt Axton and sang background vocals on Dory Previn's 1971 album "Mythical Kings and Iguanas." Denny sings the beautifully moving country song "San Antone" on the soundtracks to the films "Rolling Thunder" and "The Ninth Configuration." In addition, he has also sung songs on the soundtracks for the Western "Mustang Country" and the Chuck Norris action vehicle "Breaker! Breaker!". Denny Brooks does a musical tribute retrospective on Denver called "John Denver: A Friend Remembers" and has sung in "Back Home Again: A John Denver Holiday Concert" which has toured all over the United States.

Dennis E. Brooks DVM, PhD passed the certifying examination of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 1984. Dr. Brooks received a PhD in 1987 from the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Brooks has been a scientist and clinician in academia, and is a Professor Emeritus of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida. He was the President of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists from 1997-1998.
Dr. Brooks has written over 170 academic scientific publications, 76 book chapters, received $2.3 million in research grants, and has given over 300 lectures both nationally and internationally in comparative ophthalmology. His book, Equine Ophthalmology, was published in 2002 and again in 2008. His book, Small Animal Ophthalmology, was published in 2011. He received the British Equine Veterinary Association’s Sir Frederick Smith Memorial Lecture and Medal Recipient in 2007, and received the Frank J.
