Bambang Hary Iswanto Tanoesoedibjo (born 26 September 1965), usually shortened to Hary Tanoesoedibjo or Hary Tanoe, is an Indonesian businessman and politician. He is the chairman of PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk, which he founded in 1989. As the chairman, he oversees the holding company and its subsidiaries, including Media Nusantara Citra.

He was the leader of the Perindo Party until he was succeeded by his eldest daughter, Angela Tanoesoedibjo, in 2024.^[1]

In the media sector, he has served as President Director of PT Global Mediacom Tbk since 2002, President Commissioner of PT MNC Sky Vision Tbk since 2006, and as President Director of RCTI since 2010, having previously served this last position between 2003 and 2008. What keeps you busy every day?
To simply put it; my kids and family, work, and these days, exercise. I wake up in the morning and manage to squeeze in some time to exercise before going to work until, usually, late at night. My position as Managing Director of GlobalTV and Director of MNC Group rarely allows me to sit in my own office since I have back-to-back meetings almost every day, with different topics each time, since I have to take care of different departments and divisions.

What do you usually do for sister-bonding time?
We both have so little time, but every time we meet, especially when our other siblings are present, we always share stories from A to Z. Sometimes, it’s as simple as catching up over coffee.

ngela Tanoesoedibjo took over the leadership of the Perindo Party on Wednesday from her father, media mogul Hary Tanoesoedibjo, signaling a change in the political party’s direction under the incoming government of president-elect Prabowo Subianto.

Hary announced his decision to step down from the party chairmanship and introduced his daughter Angela as his successor on Wednesday at the closing of the party’s three-day national meeting in Jakarta.

"I will hereby announce part of the transformation: I will assign Angela Tanoesoedibjo to become Perindo chair,” Hary said in his speech, which was livestreamed on the party’s YouTube channel.

"Mbak Angela is still young, born in ’87, [part] of the millennial generation. She should be able to communicate in the same style as other young people. I will remain in the party as chair of a council to look after everyone,” he said.

Angela, who currently serves as Deputy Tourism and Creative Economy Minister, hinted that Perindo would support the incoming government of P
