Tablo Ripper & Exporter

I see features on this but I need step by step instructions on how to do it. Wiki doesn’t have it and I can’t find simple instructions anywhere. What I do find are sketchy details, but they are only flashes in the night. I’ve even had this working before but its been about a year and I can’t remember how to do it. I don’t need to record everything but rather just a show or two now and then. Would appreciate a step by step run through on how to do it. I have the files I need but can’t remember how to use them. Can you help?
Thanks,
Steve

EDIT (September 2023): TabloRipper is not compatible with new 4th-gen Tablo devices, and has been deprecated. As a result, I’ll no longer provide the download link here, but those of you with older Tablo devices can of course continue using it with the version you already have. I have enjoyed my time participating in this community and appreciate all the kind words over the years. Thank you.

Review: Tablo DVR gives users a major upgrade with its free ad-supported TV offering

Tablo has always been a niche product, Grant Hall, founder and CEO of parent company Nuvyyo, admitted to TechCrunch. However, as more cord-cutters become frustrated with streaming services raising their prices, OTA (over-the-air) DVRs and TV antennas are making a comeback. The Consumer Technology Association reported that 36 million U.S. households own an antenna. Plus, after being acquired by The E.W. Scripps Company last year, Nuvyyo is betting on the major broadcaster to put Tablo back on the map.

The company recently released the 4th-generation Tablo OTA DVR, which stands out from other generations in a number of ways. For $100, the new Tablo DVR features over 50 hours of onboard recording storage, two ATSC 1.0 tuners that deliver MPEG2 video and a new app that makes it easy for you to stream over 70 FAST and live channels, including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, the CW, ION Plus, Tastemade and Bloomberg Television, among others.

Tablo has previously only been an OTA product, so including FAST c

Tablo (DVR)

Digital video recorder for broadcast TV

Tablo is a digital video recorder (DVR) for Over-The-Air (OTA) broadcast television signals that is controlled by a streaming device, tablet or web-based application.[1][2] Tablo receives free Over-The-Air signals from an antenna, allowing the user to either watch live TV or record programs to an external USBhard drive[3] or internal storage, depending on the model.[4] Tablo can connect to a home network through either Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections.

Tablo is designed and developed by a company called Nuvyyo. Nuvyyo is an Kanata, Ontario based technology company, formed by veterans of the local technology scene, which launched in 2010.[5]

Some of Tablo's competitors are Channel Master, HDHomeRun and TiVo.

In 2022, the company was purchased by E. W. Scripps, a television broadcasting conglomerate, for $14 million USD.[6]
