ANNE KIRKPATRICK
BASED: SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
Anne Kirkpatrick is completely at home performing on a country music stage. Little wonder when you stop to consider that her parents just happen to be two of the most talented and respected country music performers ever to pull on a pair of cowboy boots and hit the stage strumming twangy guitars.
Anne was born into the Sydney suburb of Granville on July 4, 1952 and became the first born child of Slim Dusty and Joy McKean who were even then well established stars in the Australian country music scene.
Hitting the tour circuit with her parents from the tender age of two Anne was given the incredible opportunity to observe and learn first hand about all the joys and the pitfalls involved in living a life on the showbiz stage.

She made her own debut as a recording artist with 1974's Down Home, establishing herself as a respected solo artist and launching a career that would carry her through the next four decades. After forming the Anne Kirkpatrick Band, she became a regular on the touring circuit and further stepped out of her parents' shadow on subsequent releases like 1976's Let the Songs Keep Flowing Strong and Naturally and 1978's Shoot the Moon.
